Following her junior season, Anderson earned All-Big West First Team honors. Alexa finished 2007 with 326 kills, second most for the Tigers. She was also second on the team with 3.23 kpg and delivered impressive all around numbers with 133 digs, 57 blocks and 364.5 combined points. Anderson posted five double-doubles during her junior campaign, including a season-high 22 kills to go with 13 digs in the Tigers' 3-1 loss to Cal State Fullerton on Sept. 22. Early in the season, Alexa helped carry the Tigers to the Portland / Nike Invitational Championships, with three straight double-doubles against UTEP, Portland and Portland State on Sept. 7 and Sept. 8. She began the tournament with 11 kills and 17 digs in the Tigers' 3-0 win over UTEP. The following day, Anderson pounded down 18 kills and grabbed 12 digs to push Pacific past Portland State 3-2. In the championship match, Alexa had 16 kills and 14 digs as the Tigers downed tournament host Portland, 3-1. Following the tournament, Alexa joined teammate Johanna Hilbers on the All-Tournament Team.<b>2006 (Sophomore):</b><br>During the summer of 2007, Alexa competed with fellow Tiger Johanna Hilbers and head coach Charlie Wade on the USA Volleyball/Bring It Promotions Development Team. The squad played five matches throughout Argentina. Anderson closed out the 2006 season with the best performance of her career as she lifted Pacific to a 3-1 win over Houston on Nov. 25 behind a career-high 35 kills, 11 digs, a career-high four solo blocks. Alexa also tied a career-high with five total blocks in the match. Anderson's dominating performance earned her a spot on the 2006 Bankers Classic All-Tournament Team. Just days earlier, Anderson nabbed her first post-season award as she was named All-Big West Honorable Mention on Nov. 21. Alexa finished 2006 with a team-high 4.01 kills per game and 417 kills. Alexa pounded down 13 kills and committed just one error on 29 attempts (.414 hitting percentage) in the Tigers' 3-0 loss to Cal State Northridge on Oct. 26. Trailing 2-0 and facing match point against the UC Davis Aggies, Anderson rallied her Tigers with 19 kills and 16 digs as Pacific came all the way back for a 3-2 win on Oct. 5. Alexa delivered another stirring performance in Pacific's 3-1 win over UC Riverside, notching 25 kills and career-high 22 digs for her fourth career double-double. Anderson earned her first All-Tournament nod at the 2006 Asics Invitational, finishing the two-match tournament with a team-high 42 kills. Alexa delivered 16 kills and three solo blocks in Pacific's 3-2 loss to No. 10 Cal on Sept. 14. Alexa posted her first career double-double in the Tigers' 3-1 loss to Virginia on Sept. 8 with 21 kills and 13 digs. Just hours later, Anderson matched her performance with 13 digs again in Pacific's 3-1 loss to Marquette. Anderson reached 19 kills for the second consecutive match in the Tigers' 3-1 win over Montana on Sept. 2. She also picked up eight digs in the match. Alexa delivered 19 kills in the Tigers' 3-0 loss to No. 25 Kansas State on Sunday, Aug. 27. She also grabbed six digs in the match.<b>2005 (Freshman):</b><br>Anderson appeared in 47 games in her first season with the Tigers. Alexa opened her first season in the starting lineup as Pacific fell to Virginia Commonwealth, 3-1, on Aug. 26. Anderson collected her first intercollegiate kill in the match and posted a career-high seven digs. The following day, Alexa delivered seven kills, three assists and two aces in the Tigers' 3-0 win over North Dakota State on Aug. 27. She had three block assists in Pacific's 3-0 loss to No. 1 Nebraska on Sept. 10. Alexa had one of her best matches of the season in Pacific's 3-0 loss to Cal Poly on Oct. 14 as Anderson posted five kills without an error on 12 swings for a .417 hitting percentage.<b>High School/Club:</b><br>Anderson graduated from Los Gatos High School in Los Gatos, Calif., where she was a four-year volleyball starter. During the 2004 season, Alexa led Los Gatos HS to a 12-0 record in the Santa Clara Valley DeAnza Division (SCVDD). The Cats also reached a ranking as high as No. 15 in the nation with an overall record of 35-5 in 2004. Following the season, Anderson was named a Prep Volleyball All-American, the Los Gatos High School 2004-05 Athlete of the Year and the MVP of the SCVDD. Alexa was named to the All-CCS (Central Coast Section) First Team following her senior season. A four-time member of the All-SCVDD First Team, Anderson helped Los Gatos HS post a combined 36-0 league record during her final three seasons. Alexa also earned four letters in basketball, giving her eight letters during high school. Alexa played her club volleyball for Vision Club.<b>Personal:</b><br>Alexa Anderson is the daughter of Jon and Cheri Anderson. She has one brother, Fletcher (23), and a twin sister, Ashley (21). In her fourth year at Pacific, Alexa is majoring in business.<b>Wade on Anderson:</b><br>"Alexa has established herself as one of the most effective outside hitters in the league.
